| Getting there : | Karwar is the District Headquarters of Uttara Karnataka district
in the state of Karnataka. It is situated 519 Kms NW of the capital
city of Bangalore. This town is tucked between the Arabian Sea on
one side and the Western Ghats on the other. |
| By Rail : | Karwar is situated on the Konkan Railway route between Madgaon (100 Kms)
in the north and Mangalore (273 Kms) in the South. Most of the trains
passing have a 2 minutes halt at this station |
| By Air: | The nearest Airport to Karwar is Goa (100 Kms) which is connected
to most Indian cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi and Bangalore |
| By Bus : | The town is also connected by buses from Goa, Bangalore, Mangalore. |

| Visitor Timings : | The depot is open to visitors on Tuesdays between 1400 hrs to 1600 hrs. However, if you would like to visit the depot on any other day, prior appointment may be sought. In case of visitors of foreign nationality, a mandatory security clearance is required which must be submitted atleast 3 to 4 weeks prior to the proposed date of visit. It is therefore advisable to seek an appointment well in advance and ensure that the application form is submitted three to four weeks before the proposed date of visit. |
